Matt McFarland
Owner
Matt McFarland founded McFarland Woods, Inc., in 2003. Since then, McFarland Woods has completed hundreds of custom projects ensuring that each owner adds value, comfort, and livability. Matt’s unwavering positive attitude coupled with his creativity and technical knowledge of building has taken McFarland Woods from a fledgling young company to the successful full-service firm it is today. McFarland Woods has developed strong relationships with the area’s award-winning architects. These design professionals appreciate Matt’s attention to detail and his excellent communication skills with clients. Clients really appreciate Matt’s enthusiasm for their projects and his upbeat personality.
Jennifer Barc

Jennifer is the consummate multitasker. She has over a decade of experience in developing financial and operational systems within multiple organizations. Jennifer’s organizational skills and quick processing are a true super power. She oversees ordering, tracking, scheduling, and receiving, and delivers amazing results –so much so, a client described Jennifer as “one of the most organized people I’ve worked with, EVER!”
Rich Villalon

With a Master's in Interior Architecture and Design and over ten years of hands-on experience, Rich excels in overseeing projects with an eagle eye for detail. As a Project Coordinator, he collaborates closely with both clients and vendors, meticulously curating elements—from finishes and plumbing fixtures to appliances and lighting—that align with our clients' desires and budgetary constraints. His knack for engaging clients ensures their visions take center stage throughout the entire project, resulting in outcomes that consistently exceed expectations.
Julie Lull
Vice President of Client Success
Julie loves building! She is a former client of McFarland Woods and enjoyed the process so much that she’s been working with the team ever since. With formal training and two decades of experience as an occupational therapist, Julie is well versed in working with a diverse team of individuals to develop and implement plans that meet the varying needs of her clients. This experience is an essential component of her contribution as a member of the McFarland Woods team. Julie has her eyes on every project and handles much of what is going on behind the scenes. Her passion for solving problems and her fun loving nature help to facilitate the success of each and every project.
Mike Roberson
Construction Team Project Manager
Having literally performed all the trades himself at some point in his career, Mike lends his expertise to every project. He gets involved early by reviewing architectural plans to make sure they can be implemented in the field and meeting with the trades to work out the details. His deep knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and can-do attitude make him a valuable asset to every project.
Steve Roper
Construction Team Project Manager
With over three decades of experience in the Building and Remodeling Industry, Steve is a superior craftsman and has hands-on working knowledge of all remodeling trade installation requirements and techniques. Over the years, he has helped numerous homeowners create, design, and build their dream homes with the highest level of quality finish and customer satisfaction possible. Steve enjoys the entire process of renovating older homes, building new homes and creating well thought out spaces using the latest techniques and materials for today's lifestyles. He has a great sense of functional design and space that offers a very personalized approach to every one of his projects.
Carpentry Team
McFarland Woods leverages an in-house, highly-skilled, carpentry team that has been with us on every project since the beginning. Our team specializes in offering unique and custom touches such as complex framing, detailed trim work, and built-in cabinetry, to name a few. Details are everything and our in-house crew’s "attention to detail" will assure high-end results.
